Dafne Paris was born in Italy into a family of artists and has been able to develop her own musical and artistic interests since childhood. After completing her harp studies at the A. Casella Conservatory in L'Aquila with Maria Di Giulio, she was admitted to the Conservatory of Amsterdam where she graduated in June 2021 under the guidance of Erika Waardenburg, Gwyneth Wentink and Sandrine Chatron.
She participated in master classes with internationally renowned harpists such as Frederique Cambreling (Ensemble intercontemporain), Anneleen Lenaerts (Vienna Philharmonic), Cristina Bianchi (Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Hochschule für Musik und Teather Munich), Masumi Nagasawa (Conservatory of Maastricht), Miriam Overlach (Conservatory of Antwerp), Sandrine Chatron (Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest) and Sivan Magen (Finnish Radio Symphony).
She has performed in prestigious events such as the Italian Chamber of Deputies Christmas concert and the Ravello Festival (Italy) and has collaborated with various international orchestras, the Palatina Klassik-Vokalensemble Philharmonischer Chor an der Saar (Germany), including the Kazan State Conservatory Orchestra (Russia), the Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra - Oscar-winning Ennio Morricone’s orchestra, the Oh-Ton ensemble (Germany), the Orchestra Caravaggio, the Score Collective (specialised in the performance of 21st century music) and the Symfonieorkest Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She has given concerts in various chamber music ensembles in Italy and abroad at institutions such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the Vatican Gardens, the William Walton Foundation in Ischia and the Concertgebouw and Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam. One of her prime focuses is the integration of her musical practice with interdisciplinary forms of art; she currently organises concerts in which she combines her repertoire with her paintings and artworks. Dafne combines her work as a harpist with curatorial work and has collaborated with institutions like Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ and Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
